Day 1 Matereality Marathon
Digesting, interconnecting + sharing stakeholder views on Danone, the food industry and our future
--
Hey folks! Here we are at the end of day one of the Matereality Marathon (launched here yesterday), exploring global food company Danone’s role in the future we want by applying the Matereality methodology.
I’ll recap some of the learnings and doings of the day, touch on a finding that I feel inspired by, and give a little forecast for what’s coming up.
Here’s the video version of what is written below — probably easier to watch than read as a lot of this is explaining what’s on the screen.
Learnings and doings
I had set the intention of working on the stakeholder interviews today. I’ll take you backstage a little so you understand what’s here. Maybe it gives you some ideas about ways to make research findings available, maybe you have feedback for me about how to make this better.
I’ll also share interesting little technical things that I learned that have been useful for me as I’m trying to understand the food industry (and YouTube!).
First, each of these interviews has a description with a set of links: to more information about the person’s profile, to the main assessment deck, to an audio version, and to a written transcript. And there’s also links to more information broadly about Matereality, as well anything mentioned during the interview where I say something like, “I’ll make sure to leave a note in the notes.” If you hear me say that and find anything missing let me know!
Thoughts on the importance of detailed, accurate transcripts
I do what I call “artisanal transcripts” and I’ll take you backstage in case this is useful because it took me quite a while to figure out how to do these.
The captioning that is automatically generated sometimes takes a little while — I’ve seen it take over an hour so…
