Medium Short: Peak Week
When imploding in a race was the perfect pre-workshop lesson
Welcome to the latest Medium Short, a weekly accountability practice highlighting what I’m up to along the unmarked trail towards #IndustrialHealing. This is a personal update — my (debatably) more professional writing is freely available through this link.
I promised myself if I made it to today I could have the day off — this was Peak Week. A rest is now due. So I’m actually writing this yesterday. If that makes no sense, it perhaps underscores my need of a day off.
This past week I delivered Matereality: Why, What & How workshops to three groups, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Folks gathered virtually from around the world — Belgium, Brazil, and points in between, and from around the economic landscape — impact investors, psychotherapists, and people in between.
I did what I set out to do after about 18 months of tinkering in my virtual garage and I feel good about it. My inner critic can definitely chronicle 18,978 things I didn’t do as well as I could have. But I’ve ask her to kindly hold her fire while I notice the two or three things that did go well.
